The 12th annual Ukrop’s Monument Avenue 10k presented by MARTIN’S is on a record entry pace for the Saturday, April 2 running of Richmond’s signature road race. As of Tuesday morning, December 28, registration is more than 60% ahead of last year’s rate, when the event reached its capacity and registration closed nearly three weeks before the race.
The entry limit for the 2011 event is 40,000 participants. Over 37,000 people ran and walked the 2010 Ukrop’s Monument Avenue 10k, the 11th consecutive year the event set an entry record.
Registration for the Ukrop’s Monument Avenue 10k is available at www.sportsbackers.org. The entry fee is $25 through December 31 and will rise to $30 on January 1. Anyone wishing to mail in their registration may download an entry form off the race website.
