Two days after the election, the 1st District City Council race remains undecided.
After the counting of the absentee ballots, challenger Jon Baliles holds a 24 vote lead over incumbent Bruce Tyler. The registrar will certify the election once any provisional ballots that were issued on election day are processed, which could be as early as Friday.
Either candidate would then be able to ask for a recount at that point.
