VCU Rams suffer first loss of the season

Virginia Commonwealth Universities’ inexperience got the best of them Thursday night as they lost 69-54 to Seton Hall.

Virginia Commonwealth Universities’ inexperience got the best of them Thursday night, as they lost 69-54 to Seton Hall in the first game of The Charleston Classic. With the 10th youngest team in the country, coach Shaka Smart’s Rams struggled with mistakes, turnovers, fouls, and very poor shooting.

The Rams will play Georgia Tech Friday November 18th at 8:30pm and the game can be watched on ESPN 3.

The Rams will play their third game of the Charleston Classic against either LSU or Western Kentucky.

The Rams travel to Western Kentucky (possibly a rematch) on November 23rd. Finally the Rams travel to Tuscaloosa to face former VCU coach Anthony Grant’s #15 Alabama.

It is a very challenging five game road stretch, but coach Shaka Smart is trying to test his young but talented team.

After playing five consecutive road games, the Rams will return home against University of South Florida on November 30th at 7:30pm.
