It’s the big 4th of July weekend fireworks extravaganza at the Diamond. There will also be baseball.

Let me get the baseball out of the way quickly for you: 1) The Squirrels (37-42) are doing ok. If they step it up a little, they might yet catch Bowie and make the playoffs; 2) Our great arm, no-hit catcher Jackson Williams just got promoted to AAA; 3) The next 4 games are against the decidely not-awesome-right-now Erie SeaWolves (31-48) (they’ve lost 9 straight). Their manager is pissed off so they might come out fired up tonight, though; 4) PLAY BALL!

Most of y’all are coming out for the “funn” and all that, and this is really the weekend for it. Tonight, Saturday, and Sunday will have fireworks after the game. Friday features the creepy and fun Zooperstars. Sunday has been sold out for a good little while, and last word had Saturday close behind. Get your tickets NOW if you’re gonna.
