Squash tournament returns to RVA

32 of the world’s best male squash players will compete in RVA next week.

One of squash’s most anticipated tournaments returns to Richmond next week as the 2013 North American Open begins February 24th at the Westwood Club.

32 men will from all over the world will compete in this year’s North American Open. Among the high-profile athletes vying for this year’s title will be last year’s winner, James Willstrop (England), along with Ramy Ashour (Egypt) and Grégory Gaultier (France).

ESPN3 will broadcast the semifinals and finals. All other matches are available online via Squash TV ($13.99).

Schedule and tickets (ranging from free to $80) for this year’s tournament are available here. Monday’s match is free to attend.

The upcoming event marks the third consecutive year the tournament’s been hosted by the Westwood Club, and the 10th year it’s been held in RVA.
