Skeen slays Dragons with last second dagger … TO THE HEART

One of my favorite things in life is to watch hundreds of humans pass by filled with visible disappointment, haranguing about what could/should have been. Humans! I have felt this feeling, and empathize with you greatly. Luckily today, I was not one of you sad masses.

It’s CAA tournament time!

I love that Richmond hosts the CAA tournament — love it with my heart of hearts. Come downtown this weekend and, unlike most weekends, the place is a-bustle! With activity! Fans from a dozen teams are filing through the streets experiencing a vast array of emotions. Aside: one of my favorite things in life is to watch hundreds of humans pass by filled with visible disappointment, haranguing about what could/should have been. Humans! I have felt this feeling, and empathize with you greatly.

Luckily today, I was not one of you sad masses.

The Rams kept it close — and low scoring — the entire game, stressing everyone in the building, wearing the black and gold, the frak out. The low score was partly due to the Rams offensive strategy: VCU attempted 10 three pointers the entire night due, according to Coach Smart, to the aggressive way the refs were calling the game. I guess it worked? Kind of?

Drexel tied the score on a huge three by Chris Fouch with 13.2 seconds remaining. By the way, Fouch hit about 9 threes in a row during halftime — we are lucky he walked away only hitting three during the game. Jamie Skeen finished the night with 24 points, including the game winner as time expired.

Below are the live tweets — which aren’t really live anymore (dead tweets?) and some pictures! Enjoy! GO RAMS!
