RVA’s soccer Copa shall overunneth at City Stadium in June with giant Copa America Centario viewing party

If you have even a passing interest in soccer you’ll want to be at City Stadium on June 11th

During the men’s World Cup there was a record turnout for an outdoor viewing party downtown. Thousands came together to cheer for the USMNT team. The only disappointment was the result. The Richmond Kickers hope to recreate that magic this summer, hopefully with a different result on the field.

On June 11th at 5 PM the Kickers are playing the Pittsburgh Riverhounds. At 7 a giant high-definition, outdoor LED screen will turn on in the main concourse and everyone will gather to watch the US play Paraguay in the last game of group play in the Copa America Centenario.

This Club & Country Festival kicks off at 3:30 p.m. with live music, interactive fan zone, RVA food trucks and over 20 craft beers. You can buy your tickets online to insure you don’t miss out on an amazing day of footie.

Following the global tradition of outdoor viewing parties, City Stadium will serve as RVA’s official fan destination as the only CONCACAF and CONMEBOL-approved and licensed outdoor viewing event in Richmond. The Club & Country Festival will celebrate the highly-anticipated Copa America Centenario, a once-in-a-lifetime event, which honors 100 years of the Copa America tournament.

The historic centennial edition of the South American Championship will be staged outside of South America for the first time and will bring some of the world’s best teams and players including top stars from North, South and Central America and the Caribbean including Lionel Messi, Javier “Chicharito” Hernandez, David Luiz, James Rodriguez, Kaka, Michael Bradley and Clint Dempsey to the United States.
