Run, bike, and paddle for the crown in the first King of James
This is not for the faint of heart or unskilled weekend warrior.

On November 8th, the trails and river will be host to the city’s inaugural ‘King of the James’ event. This race will cover all disciplines of the James River’s traditional user.
To become of King of the James you must be able to run the trails of Forest Hill Park, conquer both the north and south banks on your mountain bike steed and ride the whitewater of the James River.
This is not for the faint of heart or unskilled weekend warrior. If you’ve got one skill set and not the rest you can form a team and share the pain and glory. The best part is that you can risk life and limb for absolutely free.
