Richmond Cycling Corps adds a van courtesy of the Big Bike Race™

Local youth cyclists will be riding in style and not just on their bikes.

The Big Bike Race™ aka Richmond 2015, aka UCI Road World Championships Richmond 2015 have left our fair city but now without bestowing a gift on the Richmond Cycling Corp.

In case you’re unaware the good folks of the Richmond Cycling Corps are a non-profit that provides leadership and personal development to Richmond’s urban youth through the sport of cycling most notably by starting the first urban public cycling team at Armstrong High School.
From RCC Facebook:

Thanks to Richmond 2015 we’re already off to a great 2016!!!

Last month RCC was awarded this (practically brand new) passenger van from the great folks at Richmond 2015…and it showed up yesterday at RCC’s World Headquarters. At a time when we are [very strategically] enhancing our programming, this incredible gift comes at the perfect time!

To Richmond 2015: We were absolutely thrilled from the bike races…we are honored for this gesture towards our youth’s Legacy. With the utmost gratitude…Thank You.

I’m sure this van will get a lot of use and hopefully go a long way towards helping local students achieve their goals.
