Monument 10k online registration closed
If you need to register for the Monument 10k, you should do it soon. And do you want to track a special runner or scope out the race map? Yeah, there’s an app for that.

The online registration deadline for this Saturday’s Monument Avenue 10k is tonight (April 9th) at 11:59 PM. Runners and walkers can register here for $45 (Kids Run registration price is $25).
Walk-up registration will be available at the Anthem Health & Fitness Expo this Thursday and Friday from 11:00 AM – 9:00 PM. Walk-up registration fees are $55 for the 10k, and $30 for the Kids Run.
Also, for the first time in race history, there’s a Monument Avenue 10k app for both iPhones and Androids that feature maps, runner tracking, and race results.
The 14th annual Ukrop’s Monument Avenue 10k is Saturday, April 13th.

Through February, the cost to register for the 10k is $35, and $20 for the Kids Run. But those prices each increase by $5 this Friday, so register before then to save some money!

This past Thursday, over 6,000 individuals registered for the upcoming Monument Avenue 10k, setting a single-day record for the event, according to Sports Backers, organizers of the annual race.
Ahead of a $5 increase in entry fees beginning last Friday, Sports Backers reported 6,321 individuals registered for the event. The previous one-day registration record was 3,886, set on January 31, 2012.
The total number of entries for the 10k is currently 24,324. The event will accept the first 40,000 registrants.
The cost to register for the 10k is $35, and $20 for the Kids Run, through February 28th.

A friendly reminder: starting February 1st, registration prices for the Ukrop’s Monument Avenue 10k presented by Martin’s will increase. Prices are currently $30 for adults and $15 for children participating in the Kids Run. However, those prices will each increase $5 beginning in February.
The Monument 10k began in 2000 and has been recognized as the 8th largest running race in the US–18th largest in the world–by the nonprofit Running USA. Additionally, the race is the 4th largest 10k in the US and 7th largest in the world.
The Monument 10k will take place on April 13, 2013.
