Kickers Q&A with defender Braeden Troyer

This was Troyer first season with the Kickers and he notched one assist in 28 appearances.

As the offseason rolls along the Richmond Kickers have been taking the time to sit down with a few of their players and talk the past year and their goals for the upcoming year.

From Richmond Kickers interview:

For Troyer, he credits his teammates and Richmond’s veteran experience for aiding in his transition from collegiate to professional-level soccer.

“I think that my first season was a solid start,” Troyer tells RichmondKickers.com. “I could not have asked for better teammates during my rookie year, and I learned a lot from the veteran players.”

The native of South Carolina made his professional debut during a 1-0 win on the road against New York Red Bulls II.

“It was a real blessing that I was able to see the field so early on this past season,” the young defender remarked. “No matter how well-prepared one is, playing in or starting a match is never guaranteed and I am grateful for the opportunities I had last season.”

Your first chance to see the Kickers in action will be at the 2016 Pro-Am Challenge when they take on top ranked UVA on March 5th at 6 PM at Ukrops Park. The other pre-season game open to the public will be held at City Stadium on March 16th against the Carolina Railhawks.

The season kicks off at home on March 26th against the Harrisburg City Islanders. Tickets for individual games or season tickets are available online.
