Kickers looking to pack City Stadium next Wednesday
Beer, brats and booting of balls in store for all.
The Richmond Kickers are currently in a five plane dogfight for the last playoff spot. They need to win their next two games to advance into the playoffs and the next match is away against Harrisburg City Islanders. You can catch the action on the Richmond Kickers YouTube channel.
The last home game is on Wednesday September 16th at 7:00 PM against Toronto FC 2 and regardless of Saturday’s result the Kickers will need a win. Attendance and the level of support at City Stadium has been on a steady increase. Word from the staff, players, and coaches is that passion and commitment in the stands isn’t going unnoticed. The players feed off that energy and gives them a clear home field advantage that they appreciate every time they take the field and are hoping it steps up a notch on Wednesday.
The Kickers are throwing an Oktoberfest Celebration to entice fans out on school night. For just $20 you get access to the VIP Festhaus Tent where you can stuff your face with brats, German potato salad and braised red cabbage with apple, bacon and caraway by award winning Church Hill’s Metzger Bar & Butchery. To wash it down you get tickets that can be used for two seasonal craft beers or sodas.
Normal tickets are $12 so this is really a no brainer because for $8 more you get BRATS.
