HAVOC! isn’t easy

For the third consecutive season, Coach Smart and the VCU Rams teamed up with NAVY Seal Training to prepare for HAVOC!.

The full-court pressure and up tempo offense of HAVOC! is fun to watch, but it’s easy to forget how hard the Rams work to prepare for their style that is partially predicated on being better conditioned than their opponents. The Rams play defense like there are seven defenders on the court, a skill that takes extra preparation before the team hits the hardwood or Coach Smart even starts thinking Xs and Os. It seems like every game, there is a moment when the Rams are suddenly a step quicker than their exhausted opponents. Fans love it. Opponents hate it. HAVOC! isn’t easy, but it sure is fun to watch.

Practice officially starts tomorrow and HAVOC! 5.0 is just a few weeks away from its debut. If this doesn’t get you hyped, check your pulse.
