He is definitely one heck of a coach. But what I think he’s more of is am amazing recruiter, he brought in great talent (esp. from Florida it seems) and I hope whoever is tapped to replace him can get the talent that he seemed to so easily get. It helps that Eric Maynor was here, but still, I think a lot of those kids said ‘VCwho?’ before Grant was hired (and the subsequent dagger). I did, however, have my dreams of Grant staying longer and knocking of some good teams in the process, but the CAA is a place for old, bad coaches to get some more years in before they retire, or new, great, up-and-coming coaches to sharpen their skills before moving to a more national stage.
