Darius Theus has inked a contract to join Aris Leeuwarden in the Netherlands.
Darius Theus has inked a contract to join Aris Leeuwarden in the Netherlands. The ninth player under coach Smart to sign a pro contract, Theus finished his career at VCU having tallied 760 points, 462 assists, 237 steals, and 235 rebounds.
Aris Leeuwarden finished 20-16 last season in the top league in the Netherlands. Their season runs from October to May. Former Ram Brandon Rozzell averaged 14.2ppg, 3.2rpg, 1.8apg, and 1.8spg in 13 games for Aris Leeuwarden in 2012 before leaving the team. Former Drexel standout Samme Givens is currently on the roster.
