Revolution introduce new head coach

Replacing former head coach, and 2009 IFL Head Coach of the Year, Steve Criswell is Tony Hawkins. Hawkins has ties to several Richmond-area football programs: Thomas Jefferson High School Virginia State University Virginia Union University Benedictine High School Hawkins is also the managing partner of The Republic.

Marathon registration fees go up on Friday

Starting October 1 (that’s Friday), registration fees for the SunTrust Richmond Marathon, Half Marathon, and 8k will go up. Save some bucks while you can!

Casey Cooley named CAA Special Teams Player of the Week

Cooley blocked Elon’s field goal attempt, that would have given the Phoenix the lead, in overtime. It was his first career block.

UR signs home-and-home with Liberty

UR has announced that they’ve signed a home-and-home with Liberty. The Spiders will get the first home game in 2013 and play in Lynchburg the following year. This will be the first meeting between the two teams.
