Westover Hills Preschool is coming to Westover Hills United Methodist Church

Another option for neighborhood families looking at preschool for their little ones.

Last night we received the details on a new preschool option for our neighborhood.

Westover Hills United Methodist Church is excited to announce its new preschool program opening to families with children ages 2 ½ to 5 years old in September 2015. If the considerable activity at the popular WHUMC “Tot Lot” (you know it….corner of Westover Hills Blvd and New Kent Rd.) is any indication, preschoolers, toddlers, and infants are delightfully abundant where we live! It is the goal of Westover Hills Preschool (WHP) to provide these families with the option of a conveniently close-by, high quality, and developmentally appropriate preschool home for their child.

Our preschool facility will occupy the lower level the church building and is currently undergoing extensive renovations to accommodate the safety and comfort of preschoolers, their parents, and instructional staff. The Westover Hills Preschool will be a half-day program (9:30am-12:30pm) with select extended day options and will be open from September to May during the school year. Applications for enrollment are currently being accepted and are available at the church office and on line at our new website www.westoverhillspreschool.org

Registration for the 2015-2016 school year will begin Monday, January 12, 2015 and will continue on a rolling basis throughout the spring.

WHP will accept children regardless of race, gender, religious belief, or national origin. Children with special needs are welcomed and we will work with parents to individualize and make accommodations that are within our abilities given staffing and space restrictions. For further information regarding curriculum, the enrollment/registration process, or any other program-related questions, please visit our website or contact Michele Zipperer, Preschool Director, at mazipp@verizon.net or 804-232-1769 ext.15.
