Want to help at the Manchester Earth Day go to Legend tonight

A great reason to go to Legend besides the deck and the beer.

According to Style Weekly your chance to sign up online for Manchester Earth Day celebration on Saturday has passed but you’ve still have a chance to give a helping hand.

Come join the fun, meet new people and help FeedRVA make fresh produce accessible to lower income food voucher recipients. Volunteers will receive an organic t-shirt, two beverage tickets, a great day of live music and outdoor activities.

Volunteers will be placed as needed the day of the event and may perform multiple duties during their shift. Festival duties are listed below. (subject to change.)

We are no longer processing online sign up for volunteering. Those interested in volunteering can attend the volunteers event Thursday, April 24th at Legend 5 p.m.– 7 p.m.

  • Set Up – festival set up and assisting with vendor load in (must be able to lift at least 25 lbs.)
  • Kid’s Activities Area (kite festival, petting farm, back yard farmer, balloon captains)
  • Information Booth
  • Eco-Stations – monitoring recycling, composting and landfill waste disposal
  • Parking Attendants
  • Beer/ Wine Pourers
  • I.D. checkers
  • Floaters
  • Break Down and Clean Up
  • Shifts are 2.5 hours, and you can apply for more than one shift.
