VCU Health Systems and Fear 2 Freedom are coming together tomorrow to make a difference and you can give them a hand.

From the press release:

Virginia Commonwealth University student volunteers will assemble 355 “after care kits” that contain items such as clothing and toiletries to meet the immediate physical and emotional needs of survivors of child abuse, domestic violence or sexual assault.

The event will be held Tuesday, March 24, from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in the Commonwealth Ballroom in University Student Commons.
It is sponsored by Fear 2 Freedom, a nonprofit organization dedicated to redeeming and restoring the lives of those wounded by abuse, and by VCU Health Systems.

“A critical answer to ending sexual assault on college campuses is to educate students on the effects, repercussions and the lifetime of impact that sexual abuse and domestic violence has on the victims. We want to empower the students to be the change and restore the joy,” said Rosemary Trible, founder of Fear 2 Freedom.

Over the past three years, Fear 2 Freedom has provided more than 8,000 kits to those affected by sexual abuse and domestic violence.

There are two kits that are put together.
