Victim identified in Playn Street
At around 6:20 a.m., officers responded to the 100 block of Playn Street for a report of a person down.
The Richmond Police Department has identified the victim of a homicide that occurred Sunday morning in Southside.
At around 6:20 a.m., officers responded to the 100 block of Playn Street for a report of a person down. They located the body of Albert “Cartoon” C. Trower, 56, suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene. No known home address is available.
Detectives are investigating this incident as a homicide. The medical examiner will determine the cause and manner of death.
