VCU commencement is this Saturday plan your day accordingly

Virginia Commonwealth University will award more than 5,000 degrees during its 2016 May commencement exercises on Saturday. VCU alumna Pamela El, executive vice president and chief marketing officer of the National Basketball Association, is this year’s commencement speaker. The commencement ceremony starts at 10 a.m. at the Richmond Coliseum, 601 E. Leigh St. Doors will open at 9 a.m.

If you need even more current info. open your Twitter machine and follow @vcu while using the #VCU2016 hashtag. Can’t make and still want to see little Billy and Sue get their diploma? Well worry not the ceremony will be live-streamed at www.vcu.edu.
For those of us not graduating or directly involved be aware of large crowds, scarce parking, and random pedestrians with balloons and bouquets. When the official street closures/restrictions are announced we’ll post them up.
