A tragic crash occurred yesterday morning in Long Island, killing three (including one recent UR grad and one current UR student) and wounding two.
Jaime Malone, 22, who had just graduated from college, her sister, Paige Malone, 19, and pal Michael Mulhall, 22, died when the four-door Honda driven by Mulhall’s sister veered off the Meadowbrook Parkway in Roosevelt and slammed into a tree at around 8:45 a.m.
The group was on their way to Camp Anchor, a camp for children and adults with disabilities.

As an SCS student at UR, I just received the following email from the University Chaplain:
In response to the tragic deaths of Jamie and Paige Malone, the Chaplaincy will hold a Service of Remembrance on Monday, July 19, in the Cannon Memorial Chapel. The service will commence at 9:30 a.m. to coincide with the Mass in Floral Park, N.Y.
A larger memorial service will be held upon student return in the fall.
All are welcome.
