Two arrested for July robbery and murder at Nine Mile Road McDonalds
Nineteen year old Deonte Jenkins, Jr. is charged in the murder of twenty two year old Michael Bailey, Jr.
Yesterday, Tuesday October 7th Deonte Jenkins, Jr., age 19 of Colonial Heights was arrested for the murder of Michael Raymond Bailey, Jr. which occurred on July 20th at the McDonalds located in the 5100 block of Nine Mile Road. Jenkins was indicted by the Grand Jury for First Degree Murder, Use of a Firearm in the Commission of a Felony, Shooting during the Commission of a Felony, and Unlawfully Wearing a Mask in Public in the Commission of a Felony.
Also arrested was Christopher Pitts age 22 of North Laburnum Ave, who has been charged with Attempted Robbery, Use of a Firearm in the Commission of a Felony, and Conspiracy to Commit Robbery.
On Sunday, July 20, 2014, at approximately 11:15 PM, Michael Raymond Bailey, Jr. age 22 was shot while standing outside the McDonalds in the 5100 block of Nine Mile Road. He was transported to VCU Medical Center, where a short time later he died as a result of his injuries.
