Twelfth Annual Northside Mardi Gras Parade rolling on February 14th

Laissez les bons temps rouler!

On February 14th from 4 – 5:00 PM a bit of the Big Easy is coming to River City with the 12th Annual Northside Mardi Gras Parade with a Love Makes the World Go Around theme.

This is a community affair, no corporate sponsors or major donors just friends and neighbor gathering together to have a good time. Donations are appreciated but not required. If you want to participate gather at 1503 Confederate Avenue between 3:30 and 3:45. Bring your own throws, the traditional beads, candies, and doubloons. If you brought your A-game you might even snag a prize for Best Costume, Best Float, or one of the other awards that they’ll be handing out.

If you’re not up for parading you should definitely be up for viewing. Anywhere along the route is good but the prime spot will be  You’re welcome to join us on Gloucester and Confederate Avenues.

After the parade everyone is invited to Gloucester and Confederate for King Cake, hot cocoa, and special decorated doughnuts for the kids.

Parade Route: East on Confederate — U Turn at Brook Rd. — West on Confederate until Gloucester – Right on
Gloucester — Left on Wilmington heading West — U Turn at Hermitage — East on Wilmington –Right on
Chatham — Right on Confederate heading West until Hermitage– U Turn — East on Confederate back to starting
point.
