The Iceman and Eagle clash at Greenleaf’s

If you want to feel bad about your game go watch these pros.

From RTD:

On Wednesday, Mika “The Iceman” Immonen of Finland, currently ranked 13th in the world, and Jayson “Eagle Eye” Shaw of Scotland, ranked 98th, will go head-to-head in one game of straight pool played to 150 points for a $1,000 cash prize in what Greenleaf’s owner Jim Gottier has dubbed a “Battle Royale.”

“Both Mika and Jayson are as charismatic as they are skilled, so this challenge match promises to be a spectacular show and insight into the highest reaches of this beautiful game,” Gottier said. “Mika is in the midst of an historic career. Jayson, at age 26, is widely considered the best young player in the world. We are beside ourselves with delight to host this match.”

The event, which begins at 8 p.m. at the downtown pool room and restaurant at 100 N. 6th St., is free and open to the public. Local brewery Ardent Craft Ales will be taking over the taps all night.
