Suspicious package on 800 block of East Main Street *UPDATE*

East Main St. CLOSED btwn 8th-9th sts due to suspicious package investigation.

According to reports from NBC12, the object appears to be a duffel bag placed high up on some scaffolding. Police have been on the scene since 12:20pm and expect Main Street between 8th and 9th to be closed for several hours.

East Main Street OPEN after suspicious package investigation concludes without incident.

All seems to be well.
