Suspects sought in credit card theft

At 10:16 a.m. on Tuesday, March 8, officers responded to a call from the 4100 block of West Franklin Street regarding a stolen purse from a vehicle. The victim believes the event occurred the night of March 7.

Richmond Police detectives need the public’s help to identify two suspects in the attached photos who used a stolen credit card last week in several stores across the city.

At 10:16 a.m. on Tuesday, March 8, officers responded to a call from the 4100 block of West Franklin Street regarding a stolen purse from a vehicle. The victim believes the event occurred the night of March 7. There was no sign of forced entry.

The two suspects, a male and female, were caught on video on March 8 in a GameStop on the 1500 block of West Broad Street making a purchase with one of the stolen credit cards. They also used the card at a Family Dollar on the 1900 block of West Main Street, a convenience store on the 2000 block of West Cary Street, and a gas station in the city.

Detectives ask anyone with any information to call Third Precinct Detective Heather Truong at (804) 646-1067 or Crime Stoppers at 780-1000. Citizens can also text Crime Stoppers at 274637, using the key word “ITip” followed by your tip or submit a tip online at www.7801000.com. All Crime Stoppers methods are anonymous.
