Suspects identified in Forest Hill drug store robbery

Witnesses reported two suspects, one armed with a handgun, who demanded and took prescription narcotics from the store and left through the back of the building.

The Richmond Police Department has arrested two men in connection with a robbery that occurred yesterday (Wednesday) morning in Forest Hill.

Emanuel T. Green, 33, of the 1500 block of Clarkson Road and Zorin A. Holton, 27, of the 800 block of Belt Boulevard were arrested and charged with robbery. Green was also charged with use of a firearm in commission. Additional charges are pending. Both booking photos are attached.

At approximately 9:51 a.m., police responded to the CVS at 6807 Forest Hill Avenue for a commercial robbery. Witnesses reported two suspects, one armed with a handgun, who demanded and took prescription narcotics from the store and left through the back of the building.

Police units from Second and Third Precincts located the suspect’s vehicle while traveling on Hull Street. After a brief pursuit, Holton, the driver of the vehicle, made an abrupt right turn and struck a tree at the 4900 block of Hull Street Road. Holton then fled on foot where he was apprehended at the 1000 block of Circle Wood Drive. The passenger, Green, was located inside the vehicle and transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
