Original — July 20, 2016

It was shaping up to be a normal Tuesday evening and then the weather took a dramatic turn. High winds, hail and rain that seemed to hit south of the river hardest. At it’s peak there were over 50,000 70,000 without power including yours truly.

Reports of several trees on houses, across roads and even one house fire were reported on Twitter and Facebook. In an effort to stay out of clean-up efforts I’ve elected to stay out of the way. If you happen to live in the middle of it and want to share a photo please send them to Richard.hayes13 AT yahoo.com

As always the best place to keep track of when you might get your power back is the Dominion site.

As of 9:45 there were still over 18,000 without power.
