Spoken4 pedicabs to pedal for free New Year’s Eve

Bundle up if taking a pedicab it’s gonna be a cold start to 2015.

Partial press release below to give you all the details on safely getting from one part of town to the other on one of the most drunk night’s of the year. Although the fare will be free I’d like to politely point out that the drivers will be accepting tips and the temperatures are set to be near or below freezing. Starting off the new year in karmic debt would be bad, tip well revelers.

Spoken4, Richmond’s pedicab service, announced today that they will provide free transportation to New Year’s Eve party-goers courtesy of Lion’s Paw Development and Attorney at Law Joseph McGrath. The bike taxi fleet will be running from 8:30 pm on December 31st until 2:30 am on January 1st, 2015.

This is the second year Charlie Diradour, Lion’s Paw Development president, has supported Spoken4’s free New Year’s Eve transportation. Joined this year by Joseph McGrath, a Richmond area traffic, DUI and personal injury attorney, the partnership is aimed at ensuring Richmond residents get home safely without worry of paying for the fare.

“We are pleased to sponsor this service for the second year in a row,” said Diradour. “Last year was a huge success and we are committed keeping Richmonders safe this holiday.”

“Joining this endeavor is a part of my ongoing commitment to preventing alcohol-related accidents and keeping residents of the City safe,” added McGrath. “We want to provide every opportunity to get home worry-free and encourage all to celebrate responsibly this year.”

“We are looking forward to providing our services for the second year in a row on New Year’s Eve free of charge as a continued effort to keep Richmond’s streets safe,” said Kyle Langemeier, co-owner of Spoken4.

Bikes will be running from 8:30 pm on December 31st until 2:30 am January 1st, 2015. Spoken4 drivers will be accepting tips, but all fares will be free of charge.

Information including where the pedicab’s operate can be found online.
