Southside neighborhood clean-up: Crutchfield Road

This area is adjacent to Crooked Branch Ravine Park and Reedy Creek runs through CBRP. So, your efforts will help the landscape, the creek and the James.

The ongoing effort to clean-up our neighborhoods continues, this time along Crutchfield Road on Sunday, May 3rd, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM.

Hi folks, my name is T.R. Stone and I am a part of this great group. This is the first neighborhood clean-up I have organized.

I am writing in hopes you’ll have some time to lend your good efforts to cleaning a portion of Crutchfield Road on the southside of the city. I take this route most mornings to work and notice it needs some significant attention.

We should focus our work on the western portion of the road (opposite the high school). Once we have a team in place I can direct individuals to cover certain portions. There is a sidewalk along the majority of that portion of the road.

Crutchfield is not an especially busy road, yet, caution should always be practiced and you should always be mindful of vehicles. Please wear sturdy shoes (boots are best) and comfortable, but appropriate clothing.

Please park and gather at the parking lot of the high school. (Enter through Crutchfield, not Midlothian Turnpike) From there I can provide directions and assistance.

For anyone interested we can go to Crossroads Coffee afterwards.
