Sit-in|Stand-out schedule of events

From February 17 (that’s tomorrow) through 22, Richmond CenterStage and Virginia Union University will host Sit-In|Stand Out. This project will honor the Richmond 34, a group of VUU students who were arrested on February 22, 1960 after holding a sit-in protest against segregation at the “Whites Only” lunch counter at Thalhimers department store in downtown Richmond. That store is now the site of Richmond CenterStage.
