Shooting on Ambrose Street
Incident occurred around 6:40 AM this morning.
From RTD and RPD:
After receiving a call around 6:40 a.m., Richmond police responded to the 2300 block of Ambrose Street and Whitcomb Court where they found a black man with multiple gunshot wounds laying on the sidewalk.
Richmond Police Lt. Jody Blackwell says the man was conscious when police arrived on the scene, however his injuries are considered life threatening. The victim was transported to VCU Medical Center.
Blackwell also said police do not have a motive in the case and are canvasing the scene for evidence. No arrests have been made.
