RTD dines at Kanoa Latin Cuisine

The Kanoa Burger looks like a challenge that must be attempted at least once.

From RTD:

The South American eatery gives burger joints some fierce competition with its Kanoa Burger ($10). A meaty trio of juicy beef patty, chorizo chunks and slice of ham is topped with a fried egg, cheese, tomatoes, avocado and a decadent pink sauce (made of ketchup, mayo, mustard and a few other ingredients). Voluminous in size and rife with accouterments, the burger might sound unruly, but an aluminum foil sheath neatly holds it together, preventing chorizo chunks from dislodging and sauce from dripping on your hands.

Among the large plates, the Pasticho ($14), a Venezuelan lasagna, is a mash-up of Italian and Latin American flavors. And the Pepito ($10) is a south-of-the-border spin on the Philly cheese steak.

I’m intrigued by everything mentioned in this review and you can never go wrong with a good empanada.
