RRHA National Night Out Events

Tuesday, August 5, 2014, the annual “night out against crime,” National Night Out, takes place citywide in several of our communities here in Richmond. Beginning at 5:00 p.m., Tenant Council Leaders, residents of the community, RRHA team members and local law enforcement will join together to celebrate the continuous fight for crime prevention in our neighborhoods.

Richmond Police Department (RPD) and RRHA leadership will once again visit locations in support. The following communities having activities are:

Fairfield Court: Noon-6PM (25th St between Phaup/Fairfield Ave.)
Hillside Court: 4-8PM (1500 Hardwood Street)
Gilpin Court: 4-8PM (1000 St. John Street)
Creighton, Whitcomb & Mosby Courts: 5-8PM (25th & Fairmount Ave.)
Fay Towers: 5-11PM (1202 N. 1st Street)
1611 4th Avenue: 6-8PM

Festivities are expected to include food, several games and activities and opportunities to learn more about RPD programs, crime prevention, health awareness and much more. This is an opportunity to once again showcase that our communities are bonding together to make their streets and neighborhoods safer places to raise families.

RRHA CEO, Adrienne Goolsby, said, “This event is one RRHA looks forward to every year. The chance to take a firm stand against crime while strengthening community bonds and spirits is invaluable. We cannot thank our residents and partners enough for their dedication to this cause.”
