Suspect Sought in Credit Card Theft

The Richmond Police Department is asking for the public’s help to identify the man in the photo who is a suspect in a theft that occurred earlier this month in the Woodland Heights neighborhood.

On the afternoon of December 4, the suspect is believed to have taken a wallet from a vehicle parked along West 33rd Street. That evening the victim’s credit card, which was inside the wallet, was used at a supermarket in Church Hill.

The suspect was captured on surveillance video at the store where the card was used. He was wearing jeans, a dark shirt and jacket, white sneakers and a New York Yankees hat.

Anyone who has information about this person is asked to call Third Precinct Detective Harry Brown at (804) 646-1109 or Crime Stoppers at 780-1000. Citizens can also text Crime Stoppers at 274637, using the key word “ITip” followed by your tip. Both Crime Stoppers methods are anonymous.
