Today’s Good News: Thanks to good investigative work by Third Precinct officers and help from the victim, a quick arrest was made after a recent theft at a Forest Hill Avenue business. Officers Andre Guevara and Steven Gibson responded to investigate the theft of credit cards and a cell phone and were able to gather a good description of the suspect and a possible location. Based on their knowledge of individuals in that area, they had an idea of who the suspect might be.

After further investigation, they located the suspect, who initially denied stealing the items. However, when the officers called the victim’s cell phone, they found it ringing inside the suspect’s backpack. With assistance from Detective Eric Sandlin, the officers charged the man with grand larceny, credit card fraud and credit card theft. Good work officers!
