Robbery and assault near James River Park entrance
Incident occurred Sunday around 4:40 PM.
Richmond police say a male victim received minor injuries Sunday afternoon when an unknown suspect assaulted and robbed him at an intersection not far from the Buttermilk Trail.
The call came in to police around 4:40 p.m. Sunday for a reported shooting, but police said when they arrived at the scene near the intersection of W. 21st Street and Riverside Drive, they determined the incident involved a robbery and assault.
Police did not provide a description of the suspect or what the suspect allegedly took from the victim.
