Richmond trees looking for a few good men and women

Richmond Tree Stewards are accepting applications, deadline in November 25th.

It’s not easy being a tree in Richmond but throughout the area there are dedicated volunteers that work to help our urban canopy. These folks are Richmond Tree Stewards and they’re accepting applications for new recruits to join them in keeping Richmond trees healthy and happy. The deadline for the application is November 25th.

Over the past  year the stewards touched (pruned, watered, mulched, or in some way cared for) more than 3,800 trees and talked to more than 1500 citizens about trees. There is much more to do and so they’re looking for 30 interested, energetic and committed people to join their efforts.
