The company compiled sales data of books, magazines, and newspaper sales in both print and Kindle formats since June 2011 on a per-capita basis in cities with more than 100,000 residents.

The most-read city according to the findings is Alexandria, Virginia, one of three cities in the Commonwealth listed in the top twenty:
