Restaurant owner expands presence in Short Pump with purchase of Spirited Art
Jeff Ottaviano, owner of The Wine Loft in West Broad Village, purchased neighboring business Spirited Art last week.
A West End entrepreneur has expanded the footprint of his popular Short Pump wine bar with the purchase of an adjacent, complementary business. Jeff Ottaviano, who opened The Wine Loft in West Broad Village in 2010, closed on a deal to purchase Spirited Art last week. The paint and sip concept, previously owned by Lauren McCormick and Dami Snyder, hosts painting classes for adults and children alike.
Ottaviano says the purchase was a natural fit, as The Wine Loft already provided wine and food to the business for adult participants, and the two share a common demographic–those looking for a fun ladies’ night out or date night. The wine bar opens directly into the Spirited Art space.
“It’s going to be business as usual,” Ottaviano said. “But we plan to offer expanded kids’ programs and birthday parties, a mom’s morning out program, and more.” He also plans to bring programs off-site for birthday parties, corporate team-building, and more.
Spirited Art will be managed by Emily Poole, formerly of Hermitage Country Club. Ottaviano retained the remainder of the existing staff.
Ottaviano also owns 250 Sports Grill, 10 miles west in Oilville.
