Recycle your unwanted electronics this Saturday

It’s time you let that floppy disk drive and dot matrix printer go.

The City of Richmond will be hosting an electronics recycling event on September 13th, 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM at 1710 Robin Hood Rd and N. Blvd. (field across from the Arthur Ashe Center). There is a $7 fee to recycle old televisions but everything else is free.

It’s time you let that floppy disk drive and dot matrix printer go.

Bring unwanted electronics such as:

  • Computer systems (hard drive, CPU, monitor)
  • Computer accessories (cables, wires, keyboards, mice, speakers, etc.)
  • Printers, scanners & copiers
  • Fax machines
  • VCRs & camcorders
  • Stereos
  • Microwaves

Bonus disposal opportunity to get rid of all those paper document linking you to that hedge fund “misunderstanding”.  Gone 4 Good Shred will be on-site for document shredding. Residents can dispose of up to five boxes of unwanted paper.

We were out of town and missed this! Is there a location in the city to regularly take electronic items for recycling?
