Police seek wallet snatcher

Richmond Police detectives need the public’s help to identify the suspect in the attached photo who snatched a wallet last week.

At approximately 12:20 p.m. on Sunday, December 27, a female was pushing a grocery cart in the parking lot of a local grocery store when the male in the photo snatched her wallet from the cart. He fled on foot.

There were no injuries.

Later that same day, the suspect used a credit card from the wallet at a nearby convenience store. The attached image was captured by a camera in the convenience store.

The suspect is described as a white male in his late 20’s, approximately 6 feet tall and weighing approximately 130 pounds. He has dark hair and a neatly trimmed beard and mustache.

Detectives ask anyone with any information about this man’s identity to call Third Precinct Detective Heather Truong at (804) 646-1067 or Crime Stoppers at 780-1000. Citizens can also text Crime Stoppers at 274637, using the key word “ITip” followed by your tip. Both Crime Stoppers methods are anonymous.
