Police seek missing man

The Richmond Police Department is asking for the public’s help in locating a missing man, Ryan A. Derossett. Derossett suffers from depression for which he is prescribed several medications.

Derossett, 33, of the 100 block of North Fifth Street, has not been seen or heard from since he texted his friends yesterday (August 3rd).

Derossett is a white male, six feet two inches tall, 180 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes.

Derossett is known to frequent the areas around the James River, especially Belle Isle.

Anyone with information about Ryan Derossett is asked to call Major Crimes Detective William Thompson at (804) 646-3925 or Crime Stoppers at 780-1000. Citizens can also text Crime Stoppers at 274637, using the key word “ITip” followed by your tip. Both Crime Stoppers methods are anonymous.
