Police seek man stealing items from cars along Semmes

Always a good idea not to leave valuables in your unlocked car.

The Richmond Police Department needs the public’s assistance to help identify the man in the attached photos who is suspected of several thefts from motor vehicles recently.

The suspect is an 18-25 year-old black male, approximately 5’10” tall and weighs 140 pounds. He has facial hair on his chin.

The suspect is believed to have stolen items from several cars in the Semmes Avenue area near West 25th Street. He is also suspected of stealing items from a car as the vehicle owner was patronizing the Fas Mart fuel pumps and store at 2107 Semmes Avenue.

The man was seen using a green Jeep Cherokee before and after the thefts.

Anyone with any information about the vehicle or this suspect’s identity is asked to call Third Precinct Detective William Cutshall at (804) 646-1068 or Crime Stoppers at 780-1000. Citizens can also text Crime Stoppers at 274637, using the key word “ITip” followed by your tip. Both Crime Stoppers methods are anonymous.
