Police seek ambulance computer thief

The thief nabbed the computer off a stretcher at Community Hospital.

It takes a certain lack of moral clarity to steal from an ambulance crew. Presumably the suspect was in the hospital visiting someone that had been injured and perhaps treated by someone from the Richmond Ambulance Authority, yet he steals from the hospital.

The Richmond Police Department needs the public’s help to find a man who stole a Richmond Ambulance Authority laptop from a hospital.

At approximately 6 p.m. on Oct. 31, a man was captured on surveillance stealing a Panasonic Toughbook off of a stretcher inside Richmond Community Hospital at 1500 N. 28th St.

The suspect can be seen below and is described as a black male, age 20 to 25, who was last seen wearing a green hoodie with black stars all over it, dark pants and a black, draw-string backpack with the logo “Jordan 23” on it.

Anyone with any information about his whereabouts is asked to call First Precinct Detective A.G. Partain at (804) 646-1290 or Crime Stoppers at 780-1000. Citizens can also text Crime Stoppers at 274637, using the key word “ITip” followed by your tip. Both Crime Stoppers methods are anonymous.
