They also indicated that E. Main Street closed from 14th to 10th Streets and E. Cary Street is closed from 14th to 12th Streets while they investigate.

**UPDATE**

Richmond Police said they were just bags of trash. Better safe than sorry?

E. Cary Street is back open.

    I work downtown and I pass at least 1 or 2 suspicious looking packages every day.

  3. Me, too, Kathy. In fact, I passed a bag just like the one that shut down two blocks over at 8th and Grace. There was no bomb squad, no shut downs. People were walking right by it.
