Pie Five Pizza Co. coming to West Grace
Get ready to get a personal pizza.
Jeff and Deborah Percey plan to open a Pie Five Pizza Co. franchise in August at 800 W. Grace St.
Their 3,600-square-foot space sits along a busy stretch in the heart of VCU that’s increasingly packed with restaurants. It’s next door to a Panera Bread and a Caribbean restaurant and is a few doors down from chains such as Chipotle, Panda Express and Noodles & Co.
Pie Five Pizza Co. is a national chain and this will be the third in Virginia. The Perceys opened the first one last year in Glen Allen.
At first glance the Pie Five Pizza Co. menu reminds me of Carytown’s Mellow Mushroom but where Pie Five Pizza Co. sets themselves apart is the push to have each customer customize his or her individual pizza. Customization is done with more than 28 toppings, 7 sauces and 4 made-from-scratch crusts.
