Over the Edge raises money to support Special Olympics Virginia and has seen people repel down the 400-foot SunTrust building since 2009. Awesome opportunity, nerves of steel and great pictures. I am a little jealous but scared to death of heights!
@Paul – I was in a harness and attached to a rope. I had enough play to get right up to the edge (and could’ve gone over a few feet if I’d effed up).
@Jim – I didn’t feel the height except when I was really watching the folks go down the building. Sometimes they would lose their footing and spin around and my heart would get going.
I’m glad RVA News is giving this amazing event recognition! I photographed it last year and went over the edge this year! Great job to all those who helped out!
