Obama to visit Chesterfield county on Wednesday
President Obama will speak at a fire station in Chesterfield county on Wednesday afternoon. The event is part of the president’s bus tour through important swing states in the upcoming 2012 presidential election.
The president will make an appearance at Fire Station 9 off of Buford Road in Chesterfield County on Wednesday afternoon. The appearance is a part of the president’s bus tour through 2012 presidential swing states of North Carolina and Virginia. The event is scheduled to begin at 2:40pm.
Governor Bob McDonnell had asked the President to tour areas of Louisa County that were damaged by recent tornadoes and earthquakes, but the President declined to do so.
Before the firehouse event on Wednesday, the president will join First Lady Obama at Joint Base Langley-Eustis event in Hampton, where the two will speak about “the importance of hiring American veterans.” Obama was last in the area on September 9 where he spoke at the University of Richmond to support his American Jobs Act.
Both events in Hampton and Chesterfield will be closed to the public.
